My don finishes camp at 5;00 he comes home exausted and wet he need a shower befor supper first today he went to sleep at 6:30 most of his friends are outside till 7:00 and he usually wants to stay out till then. The past to night because of tisha bav he went to sleep later like almost 9. Hes also on a little later camp schedule he start camp 9:15 what time should he go to sleep to get up in the morning. If hes asleep now should I wake him he only had a freeze pop since coming home

That age child need 11-12 hours of sleep

Try to feed him a healthy snack if he regularly falls asleep before dinner

At least 11 hours at that age.
Keep in mind camp is very tiring if that’s what he is doing during the day.
Also- kids tend to grow more in the summer. Growth spurts require more sleep and good nutrition.

I'd never wake my kid to eat. He'll eat in the morning. He probably needs 12 hours of sleep.

12 hours of sleep is very normal at that age.
Try to have leftover dinner available for him to eat as soon as he gets home.

My 5.5 needs 12 hrs a night. Any less then that comes at a price.

They swim & do sports & activities & sometimes trips in camp, its exhausting & tiring

There's no uniform answer. One of my sister's kids were all sleeping 14 hours at that age and she had to wake them up! (6pm-8am). They were all healthy and well, just needed more sleep.
Summer - camp especially - is very tiring!
