So I just read the story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, Who was mentioned in another thread. Omg.

What other biographies have you found fascinating and are worth reading a wiki page on?

Oh, I thought you meant that you had the book and read it after you saw the reference to her on the thread. I couldn't figure out how else you would've been able to read her entire biography so quickly after it was mentioned.

Wikipedia- now that makes sense.

I don't remember reading biographies that were too fascinating. I've read random Wikipedia pages that revealed a lot more to a superficial story than I had known, but that would be a spin-off.

I am fascinated by the story of "not without my daughter ". Read the book, watched the movie, and watched as many interviews of her and her daughter in real life.

It took some time to get into, and I can't say it's a page turner, but it was pretty interesting:
https://www.amazon.com/Making-.....36522

It's a biography of Lillian Moller Gilbreth.

I'm going to edit my posts on this thread to include more than just a name.
Lillian Gilbreth was the mother in Cheaper by the Dozen. If all you see is the movie you'll never know that she was a major force in ergonomics.

The book Seabiscuit really made me want to read more about his trainer, but it did a great job of painting portraits of everyone involved. I highly recommend.

I don't remember the title, but a couple of years ago, one of the kids from Yours, Mine, and Ours wrote his memoir about growing up in that family. He says the father was physically abusive, the mother was of course way overwhelmed, they never gelled together as a family, and, once they grew up the kids who had been adopted and took the father's name legally changed it back.
Oh, and none of them ended up with a large family.

Is it disturbing? I saw that it’s on Hulu.

Saroo Brierley.
I saw an excerpt in Readers Digest and had to get the book. He was born in India into very impoverished conditions. As a five year old, he went on what was supposed to be a brief trip with his older brother but ended up getting back on a train, traveled across India, and completely lost contact with his family. As an adopted child in Tasmania, he found his family. How he found them is a remarkable story.

And Marina Chapman's story:
https://www.amazon.com/Girl-No.....85457

She was kidnapped in Colombia and ended up lost in the jungle and writes about her life growing up in the jungle and beyond. As I googled a bit to try to remember her name and her book's, I'm uncovering some machlokes about her story.

One more edit, having just read an interview with her. I think it might be credible. A fascinating read.

Read the book and movie many yrs ago and don’t recall it as being disturbing.

A child called it, and all the subsequent books from him.

I thought a child called it was discredited?
In any case he's a controversial figure.
