We have our regular favorite (656) but would like to try something new if there is... it seems like new places open every summer. Anyone been?

I see Sage (in same plaza) is also open. They were there last summer (or possibly the summer before) although the menu looks a bit different.
Anyone here tried either place?

we tried sage last year and hated it. It was very mediocre food for high prices.

I loved the food at Sage. I don't remember the price but we eat out so rarely that the price doesn't bother me much.
I got a Jamaica jerk fish with pineapple and went home and recreated the recipe for chicken!
Also I remember they were very accomodating of special diets.

We just went to Takara Hibatchi at 1610 Route 35 South, Oakhurst. (It's next to Sage which is fish/dairy.)
Food was good though not cheap ($20 for romaine lettuce w grilled salmon).
Near us there was a performing chef cooking steaks & veg at a grill as people sat there. There was even a Jewish waiter who put the steaks on so it's bishul Yisroel for Sefardim.
Worth a fun trip if you can afford it.

It's not a steakhouse. They have lots of interesting and delicious appetizers and finger foods.
