Will you please share your experience with TUMI products and whether you've found them to be worth the additional cost?
How have your TUMI items held up to wear and tear? Do they still look nice after years of regular use?
How is the customer service? If a zipper breaks after a year, will they fix or replace?
Are the bags comfortable to wear?
Anything else that justifies paying $395 for a backpack (albeit a very nice looking one)?
Thanks.
P.S. Don't worry, imamothers, the backpack is for me to wear to work. Not for my 8 year old who just has to have one because all the kids do.

I am a big Tumi fan and still use my carry on from the mid 80s with my single initials on it. Their warranty is fantastic. They have replaced a piece of luggage and gave me back my old piece. They will only replace the replacement.
My luggage still looks great.
Costumer service is fabulous. AFAIK, there is a difference between buying discount Tumi at factory outlets and regular Tumi. (You find this in many other lines well.)
DD has the Tumi backpack. We got this at Woodbury Commons. She has had it for years for travelling and isn't really using it anymore. Only because a newer style caught her eye. She's into other brands.
I have converted many people to Tumi.
It's easy to justify a Tumi backpack for $395. Prada backpacks are $1200. Tumi held up better. See that was easy.
Get the backpack.

Thanks, that is helpful. Any thoughts on Lo & Sons backpacks? I have also been looking at some of the convertible ones.
