I've been married 6 years and feel that all of my sheitel purchases have been a total bust, primarily because the sheitel macher and/or store where I purchased them from are just too busy, inexperienced or impatient to listen to what their customers want and make it happen.
So now after 6 years, I’m back to Square 1 – trying to find a new wig with zero hope or confidence in any place or person who can help me. No, I’m not looking to buy high end and drop crazy $$, but I’m willing to spend a respectable amount for a respectable wig that makes me look and feel good, not frumpy.
I’ve already been to a bunch of the sheitel machers in my area so would prefer no Five Towns/Far Rockaway recommendations please. I’m willing to go to Brooklyn, Queens etc – but would like to keep in NY, as Lakewood is pretty far from here. Ideally a place with precut options as well so I can try different styles on and see what looks good. I’ll be honest, I’m not particularly trendy and don’t think the styles these days particularly flatter me, so I would actually prefer going to someone who can still help pick out and style a wig with a more conservative/traditional look.
