Well now I feel silly coming in here to post a name I'd have loved to use when y'all are posting names after holy people and such. Growing up I always dreamed of having an Axl or a Galadriel. Only me? Okie dokie then What

Always loved the name Yisrael, and have a great grandfather to name it after, but married a yisrael! Oh well.
Then some Hebrew names that wouldn't fly in my community like tehilla, avigail, chaviva, atara, ayala, rina.
I liked the name tzvi but it has a negative connotation for me. Though it's in dh family so could technically give it.

I think most of my other "out of the box" names he could deal with lol!

It's a very old fashioned Israeli name but is being used again in Israel for young girls. I hear it a lot in Israel, not so much outside it. We named our first dd that and she usually goes by her nickname Molly. I have a good friend called that who also used to use a nickname, Mali. She never got bullied for her name. It means even more than just "work", it means "toil" and we really see what a special dd we have who has defied all odds and really lived up to her name.

I love the name Anaelle but dh doesn't as much.

Avigail? What community are you in where Tanach names "wouldn't fly"?

There are all kinds of communities. Though I know a couple avigails, it's very not common here.
Just chasidish, nothing crazy.
It's not that important to me to need to give the name, or I would and not care if my kid is the only one in school or neighborhood with the name.
