Hello, I'm looking for a place like Jiminy peak that is closer to NY and maybe a little more reasonable.
Hope I'm not being unrealistic.

Fernwood has. Many places in poconos. Camelback. But they all cost a lot.

poughkeepsie ny - I found some kid friendly attractions there for reasonable. not as exciting as jiminy peak...lots of boating options on hudson river, rent bikes and bike over the 'walkover the hudson', there's a cute arcade/miniature golf/bumping boat place, you can tour the culinary institute (1 hr tour very cheap and interesting) nice parks to bbq, u can stop on way to palisades mall - ropes course/bowling.
in the poconos/lancaster/philly - e/t is pretty expensive to do

If you go to Poughkeepsie with young children check out the mid Hudson children’s museum. It’s excellent
