I live in five towns and will be staying home and no guests are coming. My gosh can I even call myself a frum intowner?!?! I did learn my lesson the hard way and if I go to the park I will be dressed normally because no I will not be the only one there

Actually on second thought if I get dressed I will be the only one there, if I go like a shlump it will be packed!

Op here...
So this year, once again we are staying home for shabbos nachamu!!!
At least this year I have a good enough excuse though- I had a baby 10 days ago bh!
So I think that if people find out that we are home this year, it won't negatively affect us shidduchim-wise, or am I wrong??

Mazel tov to you! Wow same exact situation here. Tiny difference though. No newborn in the picture. I’m sooooo embarrassed that I’m staying home, I’m literally blushing as I type! Hope you never figure out who I am! embarrassed

In the same boat too. Except I had a baby 5 days ago (+11 years). And of course, staying home.

With all of us in the same boat we should turn it into a shabbos nachmi cruise!

Mazel tov! Have lots of nachas! Enjoy the comfort of your own home and don't forget (as one poster suggested) you always have the option of heating chulent in a Crock-Pot in your bedroom to get that motel vibe!

Enjoy your new baby!

Yea, in 2018 it might've been a 'thing'. No more so much. Yes, they still make massive shabs getaways, some colonies still make beautiful shabs events, but it's no more shame these days. (Or so I think. Lol)

So far I'm also staying home. Might host

Ouch! I was wondering why I’m feeling burnt! At least close the flame!

Just chalk it up to covid concerns. I know lots of people planning to stay home.

I don’t get it, what does having a newborn baby give you an excuse for staying home? Tongue Out

Wondering if I'm the only one who seems to live under a rock because I'm totally unaware that going away shabbos nachamu in particular is a thing.
I'll be home. We're always home.

I'm staying home. The only time I went away for Shabbos Nachamu was when I went on a singles weekend where I met husband.
