What do you have so far?
Tablecloths, flowers, pretty trays for miniatures and cakes, miniatures, cakes, salads, kugel for the men (in sternos maybe)

Paper goods, napkins, drinks, (both soft and alcoholic) cut fruit, easy to slice cakes (rectangular shape) or individual pastries, candy, if you want to step it up you can get some finger foods, I.e. little sandwiches, or wraps cut up, you can expand to salads and other foods. It depends on what you want to spend, how much room you have both to set up and for people to eat comfortably, and staff to dispose of garbage. (you don't want discarded plates and napkins everywhere.)

How much time do you have? Where are you doing it? What’s your budget? Do you have anyone to help? Any friends or family bringing salads or cakes?
Get table cloths and glassware from a g’mach. Decide on a color scheme. Buy some fresh flowers. Get paper goods from Amazing Savings or Amazon.

Why can't women have kugel too?
Is it like a havdalah wine thing and going to give them hairy chests?
I like kugel, but not that much.

Yes that's exactly it 
I've noticed that the men tend to go for the kugel, and the women tend to go for the salads. Just trying to save OP some money here.

I live in a more gender integrated world.
When we go to relatives' smachot who have separate rooms and separate food, the men have all the good food.
I am not a Rabbit!!!!
