We have a high riser in the kids' room that we have absolutely no use for. It was given to us when we first got married in case we wanted to have guests, but we don't have space for it anymore.

How do I get rid of this high riser? Do I need some special pick-up or bag to put it in?

Go on Facebook, and list it on Freecycle for your area. It will be snapped up in seconds.

If you don't do FB, then list it for free on Craig's List. Again, it will be snapped up.

I have gotten rid of SO much stuff this way, and gotten some very cool things for free, too.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Very Happy

Where are you located? Perhaps somebody can use it.

Call 311. They will advise you how to dispose it. The mattresses need to be put in bags and can usually be put out on your garbage day.
The metal may be able to go out with recycling or it may need special appointment that they will setup with you over the phone.

Honestly, I don't know. It was given to us and we've never used it for anything other than storage. It looks okay to me, but I don't know the difference.

Is it 33" or 39"? Was it given to you new or second hand?

You know, I honestly can't answer either of those questions. I think it's 39" but I'm not even positive. I got it from a random person and have no idea.

You can just put it in my dumpster like everyone else puts their garbage even though it is both trespassing on my property and I will need to pay for it to be disposed of when my project is done.

Sorry, just venting.

Send a WhatsApp picture, phone number for contact, and general location to Sarah Sasson who will post it on her furniture gemach chat. Takers make their own arrangements for pickup.
