Hi, making cookies for cousin's bar mitzva and I've just iced tefillin shaped cookies with (cocoa) icing. I want to pipe the design of tefillin on top. I was originally going to use food coloring markers but I don't think they'll show up on top of the dark icing.
I don't usually do this sort of thing so I'm not really sure how best to do it. If I want to pipe-will white chocolate or icing be easier to use? which will look better? Or is there something better out there that I don't know about?
TIA

Icing will look better as chocolate can run before hardening.

Thanks, I didn't think of that. I thought if anything it would be the other way round as the icing tends to be more liquidy?
