Question how much do u tip for a manicure and/or pedicure in flatbush?

Average of $2 for a regular mani or $5 for gel mani and $3-5 for pedi. I try to give about 15% of the total which is what the sign in the salon says is recommend ...

$2 for mani when it's just a mani. when I do mani/pedi I give $3 and $1 if I go back for polish the next day.

I recently went for one in five towns and the manicurist forced me to give 20%. She hadn't even done good job. I was told unequivocally that I was expected to tip again when I came back for polish. Can someone please tell me if this is normal?

How can you FORCE to give a tip? unless it is like by restaurants...they just conveniently add it right away to the bill. A tip is an appreciation which shud be optional...and appreciated whatever you give. jmho
