Im traveling during the day hours and have young children in the car
Is there any recommendations to stop on the way up to break up the traveling so that we dont "waste" a day in the car

Be aware the restaurants in Niagara Falls closed today and you need to bring food. No kosher in Niagara Falls.

There is hype about Marineland? If you are looking for something to do - its something to do.

Family lives in Toronto so we have done the trip many times.
Corning is a favorite.
I have also tortured the kids with Genesee historical village.

Great! So glad you are part of the groups! Zalman Bisk is fabulous! Can you believe we all became friends as competition when he ran meat and I ran dairy? You’ll eat very well!
Weather https://I.imgur.com/mjhcJZq.png I realize looking at this that the high/low is in Celsius. Sorry!

We've driven to Niagara Falls a couple of times and to Toronto quite a few times from the NY area. If you're traveling with young children then rather than finding a tourist attraction you're much better off finding a park to eat a picnic lunch that has a playground for them to run around and burn off some energy. That shouldn't take long and won't prolong the overall trip very much. Kids will be far more antsy getting back into the car for a long while if you drag them to something they're not so interested in. Or at least that has been our experience.

We like Watkins Glen and nearby Corning, though those might not be the best for young kids.
