If a meat recipe calls for 3 Tbsp red wine, can I use cooking wine?

Cooking wine is kinda gross. Other than that just bear in mind that it’s salty so don’t over salt

Cooking wine is not gross. I use cooking wine in all recipes that call for red wine and my meats are delicious.

I have to agree with you that table wine gives a better flavor. If you have something other than cooking wine, that would be preferable.

Best to cook with drinkable wine.
If you use "cooking wine," don't add any extra salt without tasting first.

Maybe I'll buy a bottle today, and Freeze the rest for future recipes.
