Where will I get best value coats: warm, quality for best price?

Are Old Navy coats warm? I can get them for $47 today. HM coats are good quality? They're $50. LandsEnd are super expensive even after the 50% coupon I got , they're nearly $100; are they actually worth that outrageous price in quality(how long it'll last) and warmth?

Old navy seemed warm (add a scarf gloves and hat), but the zipper was annoying.
I would stay away from hm for a winter coat; I don't trust the quality.

My son had an H&M winter coat for three seasons. Wore beautifully and was very warm. I might have just been lucky but it doesn't hurt to check out their stuff.

Our experience has been that coats that aren't down are not warm. We tried Old Navy & H&M and they had to wear puffer vests underneath to keep warm.

I grew up on Land's End and L.L. Bean coats. Excellent quality - each coat lasted us for years, and we were warm.

Gap at 50% off. Or I saw some weatherproof ones (some are jackets, some are warm coats) that were a decent price on amazon

Do they still make them like they used to? I was pretty disappointed with the quality of their pants I ordered last year and spent more than usual because, well, they're LandsEnd. And they didn't last longer.

They're now 45% and cost $76. Still a lot of money.

I was disappointed with my son's lands end coat a few years ago. Gap warmest parka was great. Really warm but it was super heavy. But some years the quality of gap was questionable as well

I do the gap warmest jacket or gap warmest parka. The gap "warmest" line is down.

Only buy the ultra max DOWN puffer. The other Gap coats are poly filled.
Their down coats are much warmer than Old Navy's (I've never seen down coats at Old Navy - if they had all down I'd buy it and know it was warm enough).

Zara's was not warm enough and the zipper broke the first week. Most of my friends had issues with the zippers as well. I would not get their coat. We like the gap warmest ones. The old navy ones are very thin, not remotely as warm as gap.
