I didn’t want to “taint” the other thread with my secular song choices but here are some I’ve been listening to lately. I’m purposely choosing songs that aren’t super duper famous so you could hear something new if you do choose. Would love to hear your choices and expand my horizons.
Ode to my Family - The Cranberries
I Know Him by Heart - Vonda Shepard
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John (Sarah Bareilles version)

I have a YouTube list. The top of the list is "Everybody Hurts" by REM. It's guaranteed to do the trick every time.
"Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush comes in at a strong second. Next is "Leave the City" by Twenty One Pilots".
Nothing unkosher about either of the lyrics.
(BTW, it helps if you also have a playlist of "Kicking the World's Butt")

There's something to " My heart will go on", by Celine Dion that stirs something deep inside me, I listen to it a few times in a row, and I feel so warm and safe, don't even know why, it's just a song I love.
"Tell me why", is another fave.
Edited to add; Honeymoon, I see we have similar taste in songs.

Inspire: I Sing the Body Electric from Fame.
Make me cry (not in a good way): Angel by Aerosmith (back story is that song was playing as I was having an emergency root canal while in the process of miscarrying a very long-awaited pregnancy. I love Aerosmith but those lyrics, under those circumstances, left scars)

Because you loved me by Celine Dion
I used to sing this song and have in mind that I’m singing it to Hashem and it was only because of his love that I got through when I was physically sick for over a year in high school and I was going through really difficult emotional stuff at home. That song always gave me strength and I usually tear up when I sing it.

Castle on a Hill by Ed Sheeran
I know these are more popular, but I am not great at discovering new music on my own. These always make me tear up.
