Hi All,
I want to make a little birthday party for my DD turning 4.
I am thinking to do a shalosh seudos and invite MIL and my SIL's family.
I need ideas for shalosh seudos and recipes...
So far this is what I came up with:
Rolls
Cabbage salad (need recipe) I usually make the one from Miriam Pascal
lettuce salad-maybe just a salad bar?
Chips
Ice coffee but there will be kids so not sure...
one big bowl of fruit salad - cut up fruit - melon, grapes...
strawberry shortcake birthday cake, birthday cupcakes

Make a pasta dish. Either macaroni salad or sesame noodles or aglio e olio.
For the adults, have ice coffee. For the kids, have fruit smoothies.

tuna, avocado salad, deviled eggs, cheesecake, smoked fish platter, lox different type of cheeses, cheese blintzes. yogurt/granola/berries.

I dont need to go all out. I need simple ideas that are not expensive.

You also need some sort of spreads for the rolls.
You can do egg, tuna etc.

your right I should have spreads but these folks are more the dips kind.
I need lettuce salad ideas?

Kani salad is so easy to make and always a hit with grown ups. You just have to shred a lot of cucumbers with your machine b4 shabbos

Taco salad is always a hit! Lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, corn, black beans, avocado, crushed up tortilla chips on top. Dressing is equal parts mayo and salsa, with some squirts of ketchup.

It is but I made that last time they came over.
