A Jewish man was attacked and he fought back to defend himself. He was arrested together with the attacker.

5There clips of it online. Basically Jewish man was attacked this afternoon on 14 ave 53 street. He fought back. Police arrived. He had no id on him so arrested him , as well as attacker

Is it law to keep ID on yourself at all times in NYC? Why chouldn't they just ask him to get the ID? I know I must be missing most of the story here, but this just sounds so off the wall.

Of course it sounds of the wall because it is. Maybe they need to arrest a certain amount of each ethnicity so as not to seem biased.
