How does school interact with parents: considerate and helpful or my way or the highway?
How are academics at this point, compared to other schools.

Someone uothread mentioned bnos Brocha, how do the two compare?

Another question: where does the school itself fall on "yeshivishness" spectrum, not just the parent body but the "flair" iykwim, with Bais Rivkah Rochel and bnos yaakov Being on the more yeshivish end for ex.

not sure why u have bnos yaakov and bais rivka rochel on the same level of yeshivish. Bais rivka rochel is extremely yeshivish. Bnos esther malka I think compares to bnos brocha and moreshes. Parents are more working then learning and mothers dress tznius.

I have several girls there and academically it is miles ahead of Bnos Brocha. I say this from personal experience having had an older child attend Bnos Brocha. The fact that they teach tons of Hebrew here starting in primary is a big help. My older one had a very poor academic experience unfortunately. We are trying to make up for it in high school!
So far, the teachers in BEM have been wonderful, as are the principals.

So where is your older daughter in high school?

Since I want to keep anonymous, I'll say it's one of the top 4 , non chassidish high schools. Bh shes doing well now. But we would have loved got her to have a stronger academic background than she had...

Which are the "top four"?
I have alot to learn...

I'm also interested in the "top four" high schools, as I have to apply for my oldest girl this year.

My guess is oros is one of them - usually referred to as most academic school. Maybe Bais Yaakov another one...

Well, that basically covers all established non-chassidish high schools. There are no other, not counting newer yesodos and aderes.

Is it a warm school, or more official flavor?

Btw, how big is the school

and is administration/principal/teachers easy to deal with, do they work together with parents?
Do you get lost in the shuffle of a big school? Do they help if you have problems with busing or other stuff, or are you on your own and they don't care?

Thank you

They are up to 7th grade this year. Primary thru 4th have 2 classes. Maybe 5th also but not sure. Its similar pple to bnos brocha I would say. Maybe a bit fancier and younger crowd then bnos brocha.

Nobody will post Rabbi Gelman’s number here!
Call the school and try to get through to him. I know he is going through something very personal so he has less time available now. His son is in a coma and can use tefillos.
