Hi, does anyone know what kind of services there are in Australia for special needs? Particularly are there Jewish/Frum special needs schools? Residential homes? I would appreciate any info or link to info.
Thanks

I don't think there is anything at all in the way of frum residential homes or Jewish special needs schools. Some Jewish schools (more the more wealthy modox ones) will try to accommodate more high functioning kids . Where are you located- Melbourne /Sydney /Perth (or somewhere else)? Have you contacted Friendship Circle or Jewish Care? Do you have NDIS funding?
(if you feel comfortable please pm)

Please see info on disability services & respite care in Melbourne.
Every Jewish school (from very frum to not at all) will have integration programs. Some can tap into more services as they already have many kids being integrated.
No special schools unfortunately & many kids with severe needs may go to special schools 3 days a week & attend a Jewish school the other 2 days (with aides etc).
