When you open and close a bank account, does it get reported on your credit report?

No, not a regular deposit account like a checking or savings account. A line of credit and any type of loan will.

No, but (According my dh, who works in finance) when they open an account they do check your credit, and that goes on your credit report. My dh is unsure if having many credit checks affect your credit in any way, but one account won't hurt you. Closing an account definitely won't hurt you. Unless something crazy happened that I can't imagine!
