Please get faux. The new textiles out there are amazing. Some of the ones out of Japan are so realistic you have to part the "fur" to see if it's on skin or not.
Aside from you not getting attacked by vegans, there's another benefit. If you get caught in a sudden rainstorm, you won't smell like a wet rabbit. Real fur can get quite stinky if it's too wet, and rabbit is especially bad.
