Debbie Macomber- small town life-all nice and calm-there is often an element of romance but is totally clean.
Raeanne Thayne, Robin Carr, Emily March are also all this sort of idea of following the lives of the inhabitants of small towns.
Sherryl Woods and Mariah Stewart(stick to her chesapeake series).

The Mossy Creek series
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Club
Alexander McCall Smith - I'd most recommend his No. 1 Ladies Detective agency series. I'm not thrilled with his stand alone books.

I don't know why my mind's blank. I'll get back to you.

I will admit I haven't read her books for a while but I don't remember there being anything explicit, bad language etc. I'm sorry if I'm remembering wrong.

I read a book by her that I enjoyed so I took out another one and wow I was pretty shocked! It was very explicit.

Adrianna Trigiani.
I really enjoyed the Shoemakers Wife, The Supreme Macaroni Company, Big Stone Gap (and the rest of the series), Kiss Carlo, Very Valentine......
(Skip All The Stars-it is less clean.)

She is my go to author when I need a break from Holocaust books.

Her books are fairly light.

I love kate quinn. But The Alice Network does have violence/torture, as well as her newest book The Huntress. Just an fyi.
Haven't read the book by Pam Jenoff. But I would imagine it does, too, considering the setting.
Doesn't sound like that's what OP is interested in.

All the light we cannot see is one of my favorite books. But it is absolutely the opposite of "light"

The Alice Network by Kate Quinn
And
The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff
They are very similar books, both wonderful and I would recommend them highly, but they are not a happy, light read.

Ronald Balsam would be in the same category. -great books but intense. (I think they were clean)

I have recommended before, and I will again, the Song of the Jade Lily by Kristy Manning (a little violence is described and there is a little in the way of relations, but nothing descriptive.
And
Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan. Fabulous book !!!(not perfectly clean)

*** I would not consider any of these light.

Are these scary Holocaust books? Likely to cause Holocaust nightmares in someone who's prone to them? (That would be moi.)
