Keep it simple and practical, buy ready desserts if needed, use one pot Crock-Pot recipes, and don't worry about a thing!

I’m not working now but im still finding it overwhelming to host. I have no choice due to my husbands position.
Unfortunately I have done nothing yet... not one single thing..
I’m looking for easy prep ideas that look presentable.

This is exactly me. When I read the title thats what I thought of. If hosting wasnt a priority by us I would have done away with it a long time ago. But DH absolutely loves it and I like everything besides the pressure I feel when I dont prep in advance. So I do.

You can cook on yom tov too. And simple freshly cooked food (eg roast chicken and potatoes, salads) is pretty good. Not that you have to host, but you may enjoy doing so for one meal and either way your family has to eat.

It is nice to host but that doesn’t mean you need to do it if you don’t feel up for it.
