Broccoli? My mom recently made a broccoli roll with that. I think it was frozen broccoli rolled in the dough and then an egg wash on top

You can use salmon as well. I’ve had that by simchos.

I brush puff pastry with a bit of mayo, then duck sauce or apricot jam. Put in slices of pastrami and turkey. Top with caramelized onions. Roll up. Brush with egg and top with sesame seeds. Bake.
I also do the same thing with mini puff pastry squares and then I make a bunch of individual deli rolls.

You can skip the mayo or do mustard instead.

I once made years ago a broccolli sweet potato roll which was split halfway thru middle so when you cut up a slice you saw half of slice orange & half of slice green. pretty

I have a delicious recipe for vegetable knishes! No onions, mushrooms or spinach or potato. Uses bag of frozen California vegetable mix.(cauliflower, broccoli and carrots)
I can check the exact recipe tomorrow if anyone wants.

I do it often as individual pastries. Got recipe from an old pupa cookbook.
