Why do you want to add anything to it if you followed the recipe?

if you want to bake it ... oil the pan ... & halfway through baking spray the top with a little oil ... it will save on the oily frying but still have the crunchy yumm

Just looking to make this now.

Classic Salt and pepper lokshen kugel
Purple Spice and Spirit

12 oz fine noodles
4 Tbs oil or margarine
4 eggs (double if you want it fluffier)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Oil for frying

In a 4 quart pot of boiling salted water, cook the noodles until soft, about 5 minutes. Rinse and drain. Put noodles in a bowl and add oil. Set aside to cool 15 minutes. Add beaten eggs, salt, and pepper.

Heat oil in 10-inch frying pan until very hot. Pour in noodle mixture and fry on medium to low flame, covered, for 15 minutes. Lift kugel with spatula and slide into a large plate. Add more oil to the pan if necessary, then using another large flat plate flip kugel over onto uncooked side and slide back into pan and fry for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Variation
Instead of frying, pour mixture into a greased 9x9 baking dish and bake at 375 for approximately 45 to 50 minutes or until top is brown and crisp.

it's a good recipe. But you didn't include eggs in the ingredient, but you did include them in instructions.

Oops, thanks, I fixed it. Made it for the first time today, not really sure if I like the salt:pepper ratio as presented in the recipe.

Anyone have a "crowd-pleasing" Salt and Pepper Kugel recipe that I can bake, or is the Spice and Spirit recipe the one most people use?
