I'm in the NY area for the next 2-3 weeks. Until now we had a rental car that came with a car seat. Now we are giving it back and using friend's cars here and there. I need to know where to get a car seat to use for the next 2-3 weeks. Are there any places that rent them? Gemachs? Someone have one that I can use? My son is over a year and about 24-25 lbs so we can use a forward facing seat. Thanks!

Thanks for your help, but there was nothing there in the Brooklyn area with car seats. Anyone else?

We ended up needing one temporarily & we borrowed from this gemach:
Gemach Chasdei Chaim Car Seat Gemach 917-468-7557
If this gemach doesn't work out for some reason, let me know cuz I have a list of other ones.

I know that this is too late for you but to let others know, AAA has car seats that you can use for a few weeks.
But you have to be a member (I think). They listed an address in Mill Basin.
