Decided to do one dairy meal this yom tov . Is it really so bad ? I know "ain simcha ele em basar" but at 10pm??
I enjoy dairy so much more , especially at night . I bought Belgian waffles, cheese blintzes, and bagels and probably cost the same much as we spend on meat but here it will take me 5 minutes to put together .

Sounds delicious.
We can't do dairy because my family dislikes it but we do a light pareve meal the second night (vegetable soup, light side dish, fish).
My relatives do dairy that night.

We do dairy and pareve all the time. If it makes you happy, then it makes you happy. I don’t understand how anyone could argue otherwise

Very normal for us. We're not big meat eaters. I like to cook fleish stuff ahead and the dairy stuff I'll make on chag just to make the cooking/cleanup easier. We're not having guests so we can have things like eggs, frozen ravioli, etc.

Sure! Lox and bagels here Simchas Torah and short order cooking like omelets and cottage fries.
(Stuffed cabbage is available for anyone who needs all fleishiks all YomTov.)

I wish! I don't eat meat and chicken and I'm sick of serving so many heavy meals anyway. My husband says meat and wine on Yom tov is a must but I don't really understand it because his parents eat only chicken all year round. As far as I know chicken isn't meat.

We sometimes have milchig on a regular shabbat.
As a flieshaphobe , there are only about half a dozen meat foods that I actually like. Everything else I stay away from.

I make a light dairy meal every yom tov on the second night. Some kind of egg dish for us and pizza for the kids.

Sounds great, but no. Never. Wouldn’t feel like YT to me.

We often do chalavi meals for shabbat or chag. Today for lunch we had bagels, cream cheese, lox, tuna, and some cheesy pashtidot. We love that, it's a nice change from besari.

We have dairy Shabbos seudos once in awhile, maybe once every couple of months when we're all sick of chicken. And every year, we have a dairy seuda in the succah, at my husband's request.

We do dairy quite often, shabbat and yom tov. And every Purim seuda. As tichellady said, if it makes you happy then it makes you happy. Personally I find dairy far more enjoyable.

Not gonna lie. One meal I made macaroni and cheese out of a box. A small salad on the side, and I was quite happy.

We have done bagels and spreads for many a Yom Tov night meal. It really gets to be too much.

We also have dairy often on Shabbat and YT (always on the rare two day chagim we have in Israel, but often on one day chag as well)

We generally don't do dairy, except very rarely and shavous.
However we do make fish only meals. Fish is akin to meat, cooked, warm and filling. And Moroccan fish plus salads, challah and homemade hummus is plenty for us. We do this a lot, and prefer it to chicken.
We rarely buy red meat.

This year there were so many shabbos and yom tov meals I did it. One shabbos lunch we had fancy cheese, crust bread, and some salmon, and leftover cheesecake (from shavuos...) for dessert.
Most other meals I did meat but on simchas torah our shul has a milchig kiddush and no one wanted any fleish afterwards.
