on the expensive side of normal but we really loved our photographer: eliyahu yanai.
the biggest plus of all? he chooses the pictures for your album and you get everything within 2 months, including a disc of pictures on the night of the wedding.
pm me for his number if you are interested.

Yiftach Paltrowitz - http://www.yiftachphotography.com/

We did a lot of research and decided that he was best for the $.

I'll be honest though and say that he was not our 1st choice, but the one we were going to hire decided that he wouldn't do our wedding since we were having mixed seating....but then changed his mind 3 weeks later after we hired Yiftach, who was really incredible.

thanks. I checked him out and prices seem way beyond our budget... he charges 39,500 NIS according to his website.

Any other suggestions?

Cincy Kaplan does events. I'm not sure about weddings, but she's great at bringing the individual shine out in people, and she's fabulous with kids.

Wow that is insane pricing. I think we spent about 6000 which included albums and two photographers.

We used Yisroel Levinger. 050-5531261. We went through the organization "nachat" so we payed a very good price. He chooses the pix for the (regular) album and provides a disc with the digital pix. He is pleasant to work with and does nice work.

He is excellent.

Think about whether you want a separate womens side photographer as well, or just have one person running between both sides of the mechitza. One person is cheaper, but may miss some important moments.

Charedi weddings usually/always have a woman photographer for 2.5-3 hours, for the dancing and tables. Price - about 450-500 shekels

That is a huge amount of money for some people.
We spent 3300 for stills including an hour of outdoor pix of the kallah before the wedding 7 hours at the wedding (no digital album and no "siyur" at the beach or the Old City after the wedding) and 1900 for alot of hours of video (no clip).
People need to know that this can be done on a budget.
