I wouldn't. Do you have Lemon (fresh or juice)? Or orange cordial?

Orange juice adds acid (usually to act with the baking soda).

Make buttermilk with parve milk (though the orange juice is better).

It really depends. If it calls for a lot of juice, like a cup, then the lemon juice might be way too sour.

Orange soda is not even similar to orange juice, don't use it! Don't use lemon juice either, to much acid. Use apple juice if you have.

If you don’t have apple juice, I’d use water or (parve) milk and add a bit of vinegar or lemon juice (1-2 Tbsp depending on recipe).

Better to use fruit nectar - peach or mango will work very well.

no - the carbonation of the soda will affect the baking

Do you have an orange or clementine in the house? Squeeze it.

Use 1/2 lemon juice and 1/2 water.

I do this all the time with great results.

Orange soda is totally not related to orange juice. It's like comparing apples to elephants

Take a look at this thread. https://www.imamother.com/foru.....06450
The Spice and Spirit purple cookbook has a similar basic cake recipe and it calls for creamer. We use almond milk or orange juice, whatever we have on hand, and it comes out good.
