I am 24 weeks pregnant, and having a LOT of trouble finding decent, affordable maternity clothes. When I was in Philadelphia over the summer, I had pretty good luck finding good quality plus-sized stuff that will work for maternity in thrift stores. But in NYC, thrift stores don't seem to carry more than XL. I really need to find a couple of wool sweaters to keep me warm this winter! Are there any thrift stores in NYC that carry REALLY BIG clothes?

I have looked at thredup and poshmark, and a lot of other places online, and am not finding much in plus sizes.

There is a salvation army on nostrand ave (near the end if the alphabet) I know they have lots of clothing but I dont know if they usually have large sizes.

Thanks, I will check it out. I guess I am also looking for BIG stores, which are more likely to have a greater selection.

Well, I originally would have said less than $10 – normal thrift store prices. ALL my current sweaters are beautiful 100% wool or cashmere, all purchased at thrift or consignment for less than $15! But since I am having so much trouble finding, and don't have time to go out of town on this hunt ... I am willing to go higher, but it has to be wool or cashmere (really, nothing else keeps me warm!) and if it's going to be more than $20, it has to be something I REALLY like, you know? Any ideas?
