What can I do with egg barley?

Use like rice, barley, couscous or pasta in soup, for salad, as a bed for stews or other dishes made in sauce, and as a thickener in cholent.

It’s not barley at all but an egg-based pasta. Tastes a bit richer than regular pasta. It’s a lot like coarse couscous.

Put in one spot in cholent and scoop out late friday night. Yum.
They usually come with cooking instructions.

I think there's a baked farfel recipe here. Basically, you melt some marg, or use oil, toss it with the farfel and spices, let it roast for 10-15 minutes at 400, then add water, cover, and continue baking for an hour. Check the size of the bag and do the math to adjust the ingredients accordingly.
