How does the Lakewood Shuttle guy who takes packages between Brooklyn and Lakewood, come up with his prices? Are they usually lower than USPS/UPS?

What would a large Shopping bag or 1 box (KRM sized box) cost to send?

I've priced it with a few different delivery guys, although I don't remember if I called the Lakewood Shuttle. Most charge $20 or $25 for the first two boxes. Large shopping bag or grocery box is fine although most will charge more if it's very heavy.

Ups charges about $13-15 per box, but it depends on the size and weight of the box so it could be more. You can check prices on their website, you just need the dimensions, weight and zip code. I think USPS is a little cheaper but their pricing works differently so it depends.

Another thing to remember is that the local delivery guys will pick it up from your house. With ups or USPS you have to bring it to them.

Box is a KRM box, 19 X 11 X 12 high, and weighs 7 pounds. I calculated that USPS would charge about $20. Im probably best off using one of the private people (is there more than one private person who does this?).

Anyone have names and numbers of people taking boxes to Lakewood from BP?

Do they take passengers, or just packages?
