There are so many beautiful versions, but my favorite is one we used to sing in Camp Chedvah that I've never heard anywhere else - any alumni know what I'm talking about, where to find it and who sings it?

All camps used to sing this slow melody...
I think it was originally on an old boys choir tape (or maybe record!).

Edited to add - I just googled it and it might have been composed by Abie Rotenberg for dveykus.

Yes, I love that well-known one, but it's not the one I'm looking for!

There is a slow one from Tzlil V'zemer too.

Not that one either, but that's my second favorite!

They're the same song. It's possible Abie wrote it for them, much like he wrote "Dreams come true" for the Diaspora Yeshiva Band

In Camp Chedvah we used to make snowing motions with our hands for the "Eis L'Sno". Seems illogical now but made perfect sense back then.

That's this tune. We used to do the same motions in camp sternberg, and we used to pretend to shoot with fingers by "eis milchama", and peace sign by "eis milchama"
Such memories!! Very Happy

I remember doing that!
But none of these are the right tune Sad I went to camp in the late 80s, a long time ago...

To all visiting this topic:
The original of the only version (niggun) I know of was that composed by Abie Rotenberg (yay Toronto!) for D'veykus Volume 2, and covered years later on the first volume of Lev Tahor (a capella).
I wouldn't be surprised if it's a perfect blend (harmonizable/counterpoint) to Kol Dodi by the Rabbis' Sons. Anyone care to give it a try and let me know? (I have a list both sides of a sheet long of blends of at least two songs that sound great when sung/played at the same time.)
Regards,

I think you’re right.
Op, did you listen to the YouTube links attached?
I also went to camp in the 80’s...

I listened to both youtubes, not the one!
I wonder if there's a way to upload me singing it...
