for me it’s real authentic Mexican food.

Sorry, kosher “Mexican” restaurants don’t even hit my Mexican palate close to home lol.

I luckily have my mother to ask for recipes, but really haaaaaate that there’s not a great variety in groceries regarding sauces and peppers and all these other things. I have to go out of the city to get these things. And I order peppers with a hechser online. Lol
And it’s annoying making enchilada sauce from SCRATCH.

I successfully made

Tacos (with real tortillas. Not the hard shell.)
Some meat thing with tomatoes onions and jalapeño peppers.
Sopes
Albóndigas
Pozole (with beef not pork that I grew up with)
And of course
Enchiladas

but hey....something is better than nothing.

Fruit flix
Nougat bar (ice cream)

Crybabies and nougat bars (my favorite) are still around.

No, not those (but those are yum), these weird-tasting "butterscotch candies" with the yellow wrappers. Haven't seen them (or thought about them, frankly) in years.

Hardcore ices fan. I want my itzkadoozies back as much as Billie ray cyrus wants his mullet. Seriously. And also Klein's this a PSA to start putting whole cherries into the frozfruit again. If we can have cherry pie filling we should be able to have real cherries in the ices. Omg yum.

I have no idea what these foods are but the analogy made me actually LOL.
