It's cute to see people that chose a username with some creativity in it. Mine is mom for obvious reasons amd 13 because that was the year I joined 😊

But then let us know, because I'm already charmed by your personality!

It’s my actual name. I changed it from my Hebrew name when someone on here died. It bothered me that I’d never know who it was not coming back. I changed my name to my name and resolved to post oy with what I could live with people knowing. I’ve given plenty of personal information on here. It’ll be clear if god forbid anything ever happens to me. Yep, that’s why.

My username is supposed to be a reminder to myself that I really am so busy and should get off Imamother and go do all the things I need to do. Sadly it rarely works......

When I joined the site I was dealing with a few sick kids. B"H nothing serious, but as soon as one started getting better, the next one would catch it, and it felt like a vicious cycle that would never end. I was constantly going from the pediatrician to the pharmacy to the house, and then back to the pediatrician and the pharmacy...
A very close friend who's an MD (and also my travel guru - we travel together often, but she's been to far more places than me) felt bad for me, and taught me what to look out for and how to handle various symptoms, and also called in a couple prescriptions for me when I was desperate.
One of my kids joked that I had become their new doctor, and for a while my nickname was "Dr. Ima." So when I joined Imamother to try to relax and decompress, somehow my new alter ego "Doctorima" seemed like a good idea for a name, since that's what I was answering to at the time.
B"H the kids have long since recovered and forgotten about "Dr. Ima," and given my primary role here these days of giving vacation advice, I've thought about switching my username to "TravelingIma," but I don't want to confuse anyone, so at least for now, Doctorima lives on.

If you read Harry Potter, you get my name.
Ravenclaw is a house in Hogwarts (the magical boarding school) whose inhabitants are unique, nerdy, and love learning.

And it’s good, cuz I realize I think I know you. I believe I met you when I was visiting Niagra Falls once.
