Any tips on how to make a huge challah? Shape? Baked all the way thru?
Do you have a pan? Size? From 5 pounds of flour?
Thanks!!

I baked it on a cookie sheet. Made 2 challah one bigger than the other and put one on top of the other.
The egg on top of the bottom one glued it together.

I have made it a few times in an oval aluminum tray.
Something like this

I either made two braids on bottom and one on top. Or I have done a bunch of balls for the fun of it
I baked it at 350 for about an hour I think (could be longer I don't measure usually...)

You have to cook it lower, longer. It’s very tricky. Don’t try it for the first time when it counts. Experiment

I make it in a roasting pan, which also gives it a nice shape. Do a twelve strand braid for a really beautiful challah. Mazel tov!
