Now that I check my leafy greens, Id like a really large storage container for the fridge, specifically for leafy greens.

I need something that will keep it as fresh as possible, for as long as possible.

Tupperware used to have different kinds of containers.

Is Tupperware still the best, or are Rubbermaid and OXO just as good?

Id like a really large storage container for the fridge, specifically for leafy greens.

Recommendations, anyone?

Consumer Reports recommends the container below (but reviewers on Amazon say they prefer Tupperware, because this doesnt have a tight fitting lid):

Best for Salad Greens
Oxo Good Grips GreenSaver Produce Keeper, $20 (container with colander shown top right, above)
Features a colander, an adjustable vent, space for water, and an activated charcoal filter to capture off-gasses. A week in, both kinds of lettuce were doing well in the Oxo, and the mixed greens in the original containers were fine. After two weeks, they all smelled funky and bits and pieces were rotting. By then, the top layer of the mesclun in the Oxo was the most wilted.

OXO Produce Keeper isn't a regular storage container.

It's designed to trap ethylene gas, which ages fruits and vegetables.

Are there any health concerns with the chemicals used?

I doubt it. It's just carbon filters.

Im eliminating the OXO because reviews say the lid doesnt close tightly. Reviwers say they use a rubber band to fasten it.

What else is good quality, comes in a large size, and has a lid that closes tightly?
