Diamond's office isn't affiliated with NYU? In my child's NYU MyChart online it lists all his specialists in NYU and the pediatrician he sees most often at Diamond's office.

it lists who the pcp is. my childs ped is @ Sinai & she's listed as well- just I wouldn't be able to message her or see appts there etc

Just want to say that I used Dr. Kaplovitz when he worked in Dr. Lightman's office in Far Rockaway, and it's been 3 years since he left and I really miss the care that he gave my children. He walked my son through a serious health crisis, and visited him in the hospital a few times. I felt that he truly cared about my kids, and no matter was too small for his attention. If I could manage a commute to Brooklyn for every doctor's visit, I totally would!

Hi, I'm Dr Stein

Dr Kaplovitz and I will be joining Dr Diamond's group on January 1. We will still be available to all of our patients and anyone else who wants to see us. We will be dividing our time between the offices. You can call his office and ask for one of us.

We look forward to continuing to give the quality, personal care to our patients that we have in the past.

Oh boy , my heart skipped a beat. What does this mean for your patients ? Will you still be seeing us at the 16 avenue location? Or do we need to switch to Dr Diamonds office to see you? And will insurance acceptance stay the same or change?

You can call dr diamonds office and ask to see one of us. We will be at both locations and will try to coordinate our schedules so we cover both.

You do not have to change your pcp, but a bonus is they take all insurances including United Healthcare!

Thanks for replying. Will you start accepting United Healthcare, so we can list you as a PCP?

What??

Why in the world weren’t your patients informed!
I was just there this week I can’t believe I wasn’t notified.

After switching my kids away from UHC, and getting used to all this NYU business, wow I’m annoyed.

Dr Diamonds patients weren't either notified that 2 new Drs are joining. I'm also annoyed. I feel like they're doing it on purpose. I'm sorry that Dr Stein is on here, but I'm by far not excited abt the changes and not excited that theyre joining.

Are you kidding me ? How can you compare the two? One practice is losing the drs and relocating.. which btw the patients need to be notified and one practice is gaining more drs. Why in the world is it such a big deal that dr diamond didnt notify you that more drs are joining the practice? Does he also have to tell you every time he hires a new p.a. or nurse ?

It wasn't meant to compare. But there not just adding 2 Drs. There will for sure be other changes as well, especially if Dr Zyskind is opening a Tom's River location. No they do not have to notify everytime a new nurse or pa is hired, but again it's not just adding 2 drs, there will for sure for sure be other changes too, and yes, as a patient, I should be notified of something so major. Such changes, will definitely get me thinking if I'm interested in staying with the practice or not. And by not notifying me abt them, it steals that decision away from me.

Wow! You make it sound so dramatic. It would have been nice to be informed. But no one is stealing your decision. It’s not too late to change now if you want to. Although there aren’t that many choices in Boro Park

Why is nobody wondering why a busy pediatrician is on here at all hours during daytime?
Or maybe I’m just too gullible and it really isn’t her.

Where do you see that she's on here at all hours? She's following this particular thread. Are doctors not allowed to have downtime? She could have responded to the thread while using the facilities, for all you know....

The idea of having a few drs in a practice- if you don't like one you don't have to see them ever.

It’s inevitable that in a desperate situation you won’t always have the luxury to choose exactly which dr you want to see.

As a longtime patient of Dr. Stein I find this incredibly offensive.
I think you should delete your post.

I am just guessing but I believe the merge is being done for financial reasons.
It's very hard today's days to be a good doctor AND run a profitable office.

This
I’m a former patient of hers and I know for a fact that she’s on here. I’ve discussed Imamother with her several times. She is an excellent, professional and caring doctor.
