My boys come home from yeshiva, do a little hw, and then are bored and Bother each other and the rest of the siblings all night.
We don’t really do screen time.
Any ideas that aren’t expensive that can keep them busy?
I just ordered a huge maze book from amazon.
Would appreciate any projects or things for them to do in the evenings until they start getting ready for bed.

My boys those ages love listening to music on their MP3 players. They also play chess , scrabble , battleship, indoor football / basketball if you have the space, read, and yes they bother each other when all else fails. Very Happy

I have the same age boys. They aren’t big readers so that doesn’t work.

Puzzles - I mentioned on another thread we do puzzles in the winter. They really enjoy that. They are my oldest so I get a lot of puzzles they get into - like places we’ve been or things they enjoy.
Baking - one of my sons made cookies tonight.
Sports leagues - I’m skipping this year but other years did that.
Make an activity for younger siblings. The other night they planned a surprise birthday party with scavenger hunt for a sibling. It was a lot of fun do everyone.
Crafts - last year I bought diamond mosaics. I know it’s s girly activity but they enjoyed it. Would they enjoy learn to draw books?

Same problem with my 10-year-old. Boredom actually gives him anxiety. He craves constant stimulation.

Thanks for starting this thread. I could’ve written this post. Only difference is I have only 1 boy 10 years old. (Other one is 3) and every day he keeps telling me that he’s bored. Besides spending money on a program for $100 a month which I might need to register him for. It’s learning and building about the bais hamikdosh. Would prefer something cheaper so following for ideas..

Mine are younger but I just came across this:
https://frugalfun4boys.com/epi.....-run/
My kids need help building it, but it's been a lot of fun for all of us! Big kids would probably enjoy doing it themselves, especially Lego enthusiasts!
There are also electrical kits to build different projects, if your kid is into that.

Do they have a lot of chores? Maybe they could make supper or help organize something.

Boys need to run, move...

Indoor riding toys, plasma car

Over the door basketball hoop.

Cart wheels, headstands and tumble sauces

Expect noise and ruff and tumble. It’s not their fault you want quiet and peace after a long day.

Yes I signed up 2 kids , it’s good .
It’s different projects everytime.. so it’s exciting .
It’s also fun to watch them build it
But depending on child, it doesn’t take soo long. It’ll keep them occupied for 1-2 evenings.

Is there some outdoor space that they can run around after cheder? Sometimes I take my kids to a playground even for half an hour, even in the cold, just to get their energy out.
Are they into games like kugelach? I see lots of boys playing that.
We played kugelach in school till about 5th grade...
How about card games? There are plenty of educational options.
