My 13 dd is having nearly every week tests. She will learn the info and know it but then once she does the test she goes blank.

She has been checked out by speical drs and they couldnt find anything wrong with her. She always complains that shes stuipd etc.

What can I say to her when she calls herself stuipd and what can we do to help her retain the info.

Tia

It could be test anxiety. Does she know the info after the test?

Can DD answer the questions after the test?

If she can it could be test anxiety.

If she can't it could be a comprehension problem (doesn't understand question)
or a memory problem.

Would your daughter prefer to be tested orally?

Reach out to the school for help.

Thanks for all the info. I looked it up and there is a lot of tips for helping. I will talk to the school again about giving her more time for tests as I belive she is entitiled to it.

She said this morning that she knows the material but that she needs more time to for the tests.
