Can anyone recommend one who takes insurance? Mine who I was seeing for years stopped practicing due to a health issue and I’m lost without him. I tried someone new who was not good at all. TIA.

I don't know what insurance you have, and most private therapists only take a few, if any. I was VERY impressed with Kalman Canant, but had to switch because I had to switch insurance for more pressing prenatal provider issues. He was incredibly supportive and encouraging, and I will likely go back to him after baby is born. I switched to someone at a local (Sunset Park) clinic who is very good - I was recommended to him by my awesome psychiatrist. But, just saying, you do have some good options at clinic, also, if you have trouble finding a suitable private therapist. The main thing is to keep trying until you find a good match. If possible, you should ask your previous therapist for a list of suggestions. Hatzlacha!
