I know people use the heavy Faux Leather Vinyl unhemmed, with plain scissor cut edges, and theyre ok with the look.

Does anyone with heavy duty sewing machines, do hemming when you buy the heavy vinyl by the yard? I would think a plastic slipcover place would have machines like that, but no one uses plastic slipcovers any more.

I saw Textured faux leather vinyl on Etsy and it looks nice, but Im not sure Id be happy with a tablecloth with plain scissor-cut edges.

Ask your regular dressmaker if her machines can accommodate the material.

Only the ends need to be cut straight since the sides are the edge of the roll. After marking it with a straight edge, cut it with a rotary cover on a mat. An exacto knimay work too.

Then go to the dressmaker in the shoe repair shop on 47th street. They have the leather machine too for the shoes.

There's usually a glued hem.

There are needles and thread specifically for leather, but like I previously said, glueing is better imo.

Closeout's faux leather tablecloths are ALL machine hemmed, but the Closeout patterns never change, but otherwise they look good.
