Folex is the best product for cleaning carpets. You can get it at Home Depot.

For the odor, use Nature's Miracle.
If nothing is working for the stain, rent a machine from the supermarket or UHaul. They're not all that expensive, and do a decent job. If that doesn't work, call in the professionals.
