It doesn't seem like you would really make a yeasted donut recipe in the cake pop maker. At least no recipes do that, that ive seen. My guess is they dont provide enough room for the dough to grow and get that same airy and yeasty consistency youd be looking for. But if you just want to make regular cake donuts and inject some jam and coat in powdered sugar and call it a mini- sufganya just use the regular cake pop donut recipes. Not the same but youd be pleasing people who dont want to eat deep fried version. And kids would probably enjoy bite sized or served on a stick.
