My kids had no transportation either way and they didn’t know when dismissal would be so I kept everyone home. I don’t work out of the home so that’s a possibility.

No, we just have rain. Lots and lots of rain.
ETA: And now it turned to snow and everything is super slippery. I will be much happier once everyone gets home safely!

Hate the 1 pm dismissal (and carpool).
Wake them and have the morning hustle, DD 16 reports 3 out of her 5 periods were a waste, and then I need to leave work to get her. Why can't that just stay home to begin with!
(Not a SAHM, but I wake up early to get her to school and the child can stay home alone if I didn't need to drive.)
