This is my first ticket, and I don't know what to expect.

Can anyone tell me what can I expect from experience?

First court appearance - pleaded not guilty
second appearance - saw the prosecutor. He agreed to change the violation, however the officer that stopped me said that I should ask for him. They were having a court case and did not have time to have the officer come see me and help me out.

So, the prosecutor said that I can adjourn or accept what he changed for me. I chose to adjourn. The judge then said that I will have a trial. I was under the impression that I would come back and meet the cop and settle with the prosecutor. I didn't' realize this would change to a trial.

What can I expect at a trial now? Can I expect better or worse than what the prosecutor gave me? And will I have to wait for the end of the judges session, since he usually sees the prosecutor cases and first time court appearances first.

I would recommend that you call Mrs. Shain, who gives great advice for traffic court.
Hiring a good lawyer may be helpful.
