If you live in NYC I’d recommend going visiting B&H. They gave extremely knowledgeable staff and you can actually try the cameras.

I love my Canon G9x. It's compact in size and makes great pictures indoors and outdoors.

Did you ever try taking pics in sunlight? I just read a review that the pics in sunlight don't come out clear

Even the most expensive cameras dont come out great in sunlight
