Ok so I'm trying to replicate this.
https://www.schuckspastries.co.....tcake
Lol yes I'm crazy.
So two questions:
Does anyone have a good recipe for the strawberry sauce?
Does anyone have tips to make the whip cream stay firm and taste good? ( Aside from adding vanilla pudding.)
Any other tips appreciated

Can you share with us your version afterwards?
Sorry I don't have anything to share.

I have a delicious recipe I use.
Estee Kafras clipped from a magazine.
Not sure how to upload a picture though.
It asks me for a link?

I made this recipe for my sons upsherin was delicious.. I would add the sauce when you need to serve otherwise the sponge gets soggy |
If you look closely at Schick's cake there is a layer of cream then the strawberry sauce the cream again. It protects the cake from getting soggy.

Maybe canned strawberry pie filling would work.

In Bais yaakov 2 there’s a recipe for strawberry shortcake. You can use that strawberry sauce. It’s delicious.

Yes!! I made it and it was the perfect strawberry shortcake sauce.
Also OP yes, you can add instant vanilla pudding to the whipped cream to make it stiff-it will hold up beautifully. Add it at the end of whipping, when the whip is already stiffening. But if you dont want to do that, ive heard you can add confectioners sugar, but ive never tried it myself

Question: how much vanilla pudding do you add? A packet instant vanilla pudding per 16 oz whipping cream?

Hi all thanks so much for your responses. I'm gonna try it tonight!
Bought a new set of piping tips and cake decorating kit, and DH is making a siyum so its a good opportunity to try it.
I love doing this stuff but I don't usually have time or an occasion ....
