Hi,
Am considering sending my son to a sleep away camp for the first time - very nervous about it. Looking for any feedback regarding Camp Tashbar - staff? accommodations? safety? types of boys that go there?
Thank you in advance!

It's a very nice, warm, friendly crowd, a nice mix of in-town and OOT (2nd half is much more Lakewood). Much smaller than some of the big camps like Agudah, which can be nice for a first-time camper. It attracts a more yeshivish crowd.

My dh worked there one summer a few years ago, so I was there with my kids. I don’t know if anything has changed but this is what I know firsthand.
The crowd is very yeshivish and they have a pretty strict dress code afaik. Novominsk yeshiva spends their summer Zman there, so the rebbe is occasionally there.
The grounds and facilities are beautiful and well maintained. The whole camp is very well run and organized.
